the district market, the district docklands

There is always something happening at The District Docklands and we all know Mamma loves spending time checking out locally made goods at markets!

The location is really quite unique - it is undercover in the Art Collective Precinct Section so it has a great open feel without the worry of the weather impact. It is a great spot to pick up a unique piece to add to your collection from jewellery, homewares, gifts and artisanal goods - there is something for everyone. Even deliciously tasty fresh produce (choccie croissants!) to take home! With vendors changing every week it‘ll be worth returning to check out the latest selection every Sunday.

Mamma and the crew particularly liked the entertainment end of the market - there is a great little area set up for kids to sit down next to a coffee van, cake stall, balloon maker (by donation) and fantastic face painter ($5) PLUS the 'buskers' line up we got to enjoy was fantastic. So you can take a seat have a coffee and a cupcake and enjoy the Tap dancers, acrobats and other fab performers!

Mamma's special mentions: Aside from the shops of course - there is heaps to do at The District Docklands.
