NEW to Seaford is Tres Mexican. Bright, fresh and delicious, you will want to try one of everything here.
The colourful chairs, striking wall murals and neon lights make the atmosphere fun and inviting, and the garden courtyard is perfect for summer drinks and nachos.
Mamma’s crew also LOVED the robots carrying the meals - such a novelty! The staff were super lovely and attentive as well.
There’s a great kids menu, plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Mamma loved the chicken nachos and the crew say the churros and chocolate chips are SO good!

bojak brewery, dandenong
This awesome family friendly brewery offers amazing beer, local spirits, a cubbyhouse and games for kids AND kids eat free on Sundays!
How good is a cold, hand-crafted pale ale on a hot day? Or perhaps you’re more of a spritzer or locally-made gin person? Whatever your tipple - BoJak has you covered!
This funky, family-owned and VERY family-friendly brewery is the perfect spot to spend a Sunday session with the family - or a weekend date, or mate night! And now, there’s even more of a reason - kids eat FREE on Sundays! With the purchase of a main meal.
Not only will you find 12 hand-crafted beers on tap, but a range of locally made spirits, wine and sodas.
The owners have a young family themselves, that’s where the name BoJak comes into play - it’s a combination of their boys names. They are aware of the requirements a family look for when heading out. Here they offer a great kids menu, with more range than just the usual nuggets. There’s a snack plate with cheese, crackers, dip, meat and fruit; fruit kebabs and more. They have a kids corner with a small table, toys, pencils, board games and action figures. And outdoors there is a fantastic Cubbyhouse the kids will LOVE. There’s also Uno, Jenga and other table games. Plus, you can test your skills at hookey!
The main menu has a great assortment of ‘bar snacks’ like pretzel bites, mac and cheese bites, loaded fries, and of course, their delicious pizzas. All produce is sourced locally where possible.
Perfect weekend spot here!

This cafe has the most INCREDIBLE playroom! With the ceiling covered in fairy lights and the walls brightly painted, it is magnificently charming, and like a magnet for the kids.
Mamma adores this hidden treasure!
There is just SO much goodness about this place. Firstly - as soon as you walk in you encounter a stunning florist with a beautiful assortment of fresh and dried flowers and gifts.
Then there is the most INCREDIBLE playroom! With the ceiling covered in fairy lights and the walls brightly painted, it is magnificently charming, and like a magnet for the kids. With a heap of cool equipment to keep the kids busy; we’re talking dolls house, board games, giant Connect Four, Lego wall, toy kitchen, books, board games and more!
Next you have some seriously tasty food and coffee. In fact, they serve award winning pies! Their Sunday Roast Lamb and Chunky Beef pies were awarded 1st Place in the Great Aussie Pie awards!
But Mamma’s favourite thing about this cafe is that it is a training ground and employment opportunity for their community members who are most at risk and disadvantaged. It provides a safe and understanding working environment for those who need a second chance or suffer from mental health issues.
The vibe it creates is one of a much loved community, and a welcoming and relaxed place for families to enjoy some great coffee and meals.

Mamma’s pretty sure she has just discovered a little piece of heaven right here!
New to the gorgeous coastal town of Sorrento, is this glorious restaurant. It’s got a real surfy feel to it; laid back and very cool. The kids play area is PHENOMENAL! A giant sandpit decked out with a tyre course (think Ninja-style), little cubby house with a serving window, big climbing tyres to hide in, heaps of sand toys like buckets and spades and little chairs and tables.
You can chill out on the deck above and watched them play; there’s enough distance to be able to have some peace, but still able to keep your eye on them.
There’s a bar, with inside seating and a TV, that makes delicious cocktails (hello frozen margarita!) and a big variety of beer.
Stop by for breakfast with yummy pastries and coffee and then after 12 the menu is Hawker style South East Asian. Think delicious dumplings, bao buns, wagyu sliders and Chinese sausage hot dogs. They also have a small kids menu with a beef burger, dumplings, fries and more.
It really is the perfect spot for a family lunch/dinner - even your furry family members are welcome! It’s also a great spot for a drink with your mates.
Mamma's special mention:
Make a day of it and head to Sorrento Back Beach Rockpools or play at the Sorrento Park Playground.

You can tell that each and every item here is made with love and a lot of experience, as the lovely owner Vicky has owned the shop for around 14 years!
You’re gonna want to try everything - so Mamma’s hot tip is to go with the shortbread biscuit and petit cake assorted boxes, or the best idea, grab a picnic box which includes everything you need to just head to the park and go - even serviettes and sauce!

How good are cupcakes, right?
And if you haven’t tried one from here, where have you been?! They don’t call themselves the cupcake QUEENS for nothing! These are tiny morsels of pure heaven.
The only problem you will have at this new eat-in store in Frankston, is deciding which flavour to get - and stopping at one!
Mamma’s Little Miss takes decision making very seriously, but can never go past pink icing! The Rocky Road is a winner. Mamma’s favourite is a tie between the carrot and the white choc + raspberry; both are simply sensational.
With this awesome eat-in shop, you can now sit down and savour each bite, enjoy a side of coffee - or perhaps a milkshake - and decide which delicious flavour you will choose next time.
The Cupcake Queens also make your party a little easier with their range of large themed cakes; Unicorn Party anyone?
