This is such a cute, bright and tasty cafe that the whole family will love!
Perfect for those warm days, sitting out in the courtyard while the kids can play in the cubby house and grassy area, and your furry friend can enjoy the sun at your feet.
For those cooler days you can sit inside amongst the stylish bright decor and super-cool bustling vibe, and enjoy the delicious and spectacularly presented food.
The kids have their own menu with items like chicken and chips, spaghetti and waffles to name a few. They also offer an all day breakfast and Mamma can recommend the smashed avo and peas with chilli and crispy kale, and the pulled pork on brioche toast! Delicious.
Great coffee, yummy food and a cute little outdoor kids area in a very cool location, makes this little cottage-like cafe a winner!

Attention all chocoholics! THIS shop has your name on it! Well, actually it has Lizzy’s. But there will definitely be something that calls out to you here!
Are you a rich, home-made gooey caramel kind of person? Or more of a hazelnut praline melt-in-your-mouth truffle connoisseur? There are SO many delectable morsels of hand-crafted fine chocolates here, you will have a very hard time trying to decide what to order!
Lizzy’s is a family owned business that has been in Carnegie for 38 years. If you can’t get down to Carnegie- never fear, you can order online!
Mamma’s crew opted for a bit of everything (after a VERY big and LONG decision making process). Some of the deliciousness we sampled included; cute animal shaped chocolates, a bag of speckled chocolates, a good-old simple white chocolate bar, caramel lips and a box of assorted truffles - all were DIVINE. Absolutely worth the lifetime on the hips!
You can grab a seat out the front (only a few tables) and enjoy a coffee or decadent hot chocolate, some freshly baked goods and some chocolate, of course - or grab some to go.

You wouldn’t know it from its unassuming shopfront, but behind those doors hides a little oasis for families wanting to have a relaxed and tasty meal. The kids will love the undercover decking area - home to the play area consisting of a cubby house, little slide, toy oven, some sensory toys, a letter box - and more. There’s also a great kids menu with yummy options at good prices.
The adults will love having the kids distracted so they can enjoy their food. Of which, there is a great menu with lots of healthy and delicious options.
You can also bring your furry friends, too! It’s the perfect family spot.
(Note - It can get quite busy - as you can imagine - but the staff are super lovely and do their best to get your orders in a timely manner).

To accompany your beverages, there’s amazing food from the onsite food truck VanGo. Mamma can highly recommend the Feed Me for 2 grazing board , which includes spring rolls, chicken wings, softshell mud crab sliders and pulled pork tacos - so yum!
Kids aren’t forgotten here - they have an option of nuggets and chips and mini tacos.

Mamma adores this hidden treasure!
There is just SO much goodness about this place. Firstly - as soon as you walk in you encounter a stunning florist with a beautiful assortment of fresh and dried flowers and gifts.
Then there is the most INCREDIBLE playroom! With the ceiling covered in fairy lights and the walls brightly painted, it is magnificently charming, and like a magnet for the kids. With a heap of cool equipment to keep the kids busy; we’re talking dolls house, board games, giant Connect Four, Lego wall, toy kitchen, books, board games and more!
Next you have some seriously tasty food and coffee. In fact, they serve award winning pies! Their Sunday Roast Lamb and Chunky Beef pies were awarded 1st Place in the Great Aussie Pie awards!
But Mamma’s favourite thing about this cafe is that it is a training ground and employment opportunity for their community members who are most at risk and disadvantaged. It provides a safe and understanding working environment for those who need a second chance or suffer from mental health issues.
The vibe it creates is one of a much loved community, and a welcoming and relaxed place for families to enjoy some great coffee and meals.

From the fairy lights up above, to the greenery spread throughout, every where you look is a feast for your eyes.
In what used to be The Belgian Beer Garden, is now The Commons - a garden cafe with an expansive courtyard, separated into different sections; one area is undercover whilst the others are under the shade of umbrellas.
The wooden tables have picnic bench style seating or large wicker chairs complete with cosy cushions. There are quirky decorations sprinkled throughout the courtyard, such as lanterns, watering cans and baskets hanging from the roof, and each table has a potted plant on it. There are vines sprawled around pillars, trees, shrubs and planter boxes spread throughout, which creates an almost fairy-tale like vibe.
With space for prams, delicious food and coffee, ‘parking’ for puppies, and a small kids menu, it’s the perfect lunch date for the whole family.
If you wanted a night with the girls, you will be very impressed with the cocktail list, and if you are after a special date night - you couldn’t find a more romantic place than sitting outdoors under the fairy lights, surrounded by views of bluestone buildings and city skyscrapers.

New to the gorgeous coastal town of Sorrento, is this glorious restaurant. It’s got a real surfy feel to it; laid back and very cool. The kids play area is PHENOMENAL! A giant sandpit decked out with a tyre course (think Ninja-style), little cubby house with a serving window, big climbing tyres to hide in, heaps of sand toys like buckets and spades and little chairs and tables.
You can chill out on the deck above and watched them play; there’s enough distance to be able to have some peace, but still able to keep your eye on them.
There’s a bar, with inside seating and a TV, that makes delicious cocktails (hello frozen margarita!) and a big variety of beer.
Stop by for breakfast with yummy pastries and coffee and then after 12 the menu is Hawker style South East Asian. Think delicious dumplings, bao buns, wagyu sliders and Chinese sausage hot dogs. They also have a small kids menu with a beef burger, dumplings, fries and more.

There’s a new ice cream shop in town, folks - and this one offers quite the unique twist! Think Paddle Pops on steroids. The great thing about these beauties is that all of the pops (and there’s A LOT of them!) are gluten free, so coeliacs and gluten-intolerant tummies don’t have to miss out on any of the deliciousness!
All of the flavours come on a wooden stick, in their own little tray. The hardest part will be trying to decide on the flavour you want (Mars Bar is goooooood). But then when you do, you also have the decision to add a chocolate drizzle - or dip, and toppings such as pop rocks, marshmallows, chocolate smarties and popcorn to name a few.
Also on the menu are smoothies, milkshakes, cold press juices and coffee. But Mamma’s favourite thing about this place is that it is puppy friendly! Bring your pup down to lounge in the courtyard and even shout him his very own puppy pop!

WOW is the word that will be on your lips as you get a glimpse of these incredible cakes!
Mamma’s little Mr is a huge pinata fan, so with parties being cancelled at the moment, this was a real treat for him to smash into. It only took 3 smashes, with the supplied mallet, to crack into the goodness of over 1kg of mixed lollies!
These indulgent ‘cakes’ really put another spin on the term ‘cake smash’ . You can order them in two styles, dome and drip (like Mamma’s). The dome style is a bit smaller, perfect for ISO home celebrations; whilst the drip offers a bit more to go around. You can pick your own theme and have it topped with some of your favourite lollies and chocolates.
Fill up your lolly bags and share the love - there is a HEAP to go around!
