slow art pavillion at bayside gallery
Bayside Gallery’s Slow Art Pavilion is a fantastic activity to add to your adventure list - both for your little ones, and for you too Mamma! This colourful creation is located in the Brighton Town Hall Gardens and fits in perfectly amongst the beautiful roses and manicured gardens.
Bring your creative minds and be ready to weave your magic with recycled fabric on the amazing bamboo structure - you’ll be able to make your mark and add your unique addition to the creation!
Mamma’s mini really loved picking her favourite-coloured yarn and circling it around the construction board to make square, triangle and even diamond shapes out of string! There’s drawing activities too, or pack your snacks and enjoy the lush lawn for a picnic. Take a moment to enjoy the space when you’re there - sit on the comfy chairs and watch the sculpture evolve.
The beautiful Brighton Library is adjacent and has a fabulous kids’ area too.
Head down this Saturday 5 April for the twilight picnic and be captivated by the beautiful melodies of local talent, Mila and Lucas, meet Escarglow, giant 3m tall snails who will roam the gardens, and chill to the sounds of Callisto Strings.
Running until 16 April, make sure you book yourself into a workshop or pop on down in your own time for some mindful art.
A series of workshops will be held on Saturdays and during the school holidays. Bring the kids along to engage in some immersive, hands-on fun at this imaginative and interactive outdoor sculpture.
Self-directed activities during other times, no bookings necessary.
Visit Slow Art Pavilion for more information and to book workshops.
