If you’ve got little monkeys who love to climb, scramble and burn off some serious energy, then BlocHaus in Port Melbourne needs to be on your family adventure list. Think rock climbing without the ropes, with shorter walls and thick padded flooring underneath, making it a great introduction for your little ones to the sport.

While the main gym caters to older climbers, your minis will love the dedicated FamilyHaus - a purpose-built space designed especially for kids. The colourful climbing walls are scaled for little climbers, with challenges that encourage confidence, coordination and problem-solving as they work their way across the walls. There’s even a toddler-friendly climbing area, plus an eight-metre padded slackline and hangout spaces including a table tennis table to keep the fun going between climbs.

Oh, and you can get involved too Mamma - parents are encouraged to climb alongside their kiddos, making it a fun activity to enjoy together rather than simply watching from the sidelines. There are also youth climbing programs, birthday party packages and an on-site café for a well-earned coffee break serving the liquid gold stuff, plus pizzas, warm pretzels and other snacks too!

Whether you’re planning a rainy day outing, a weekend adventure or searching for a birthday party with a twist, BlocHaus is well worth adding to your family bucket list.

Just like their other venues - General Public Dingley and General Public Frankston - there’s heaps to do with the whole family - yes, even the teens will be impressed!

Fancy some bowling - book a lane, slide on some shoes and you’re off!
Is a spot of pool or laser darts is more your style - there’s plenty of tables and dart boards to go around! And this venue also offers Transformers LASER TAG!!

There’s an arcade as well! With so many cool games, Mamma’s crew never know where to start!
There are games for all ages. For the littlest ones, they will love the dinosaur knock down, shooting hoops - or Little Miss’s favourite - bean bag toss!

For the older ones, there are basketball and racing games- including motorbike ones that even move themselves, bowling, Fast and Furious and Godzilla games, strength testers, skill testers and SO many more!

Once you have worked up an appetite - relax at a table and enjoy some yummy food - or perhaps a cocktail (yep, there’s a bar too!).

Mamma says this is one you are going to NEED to check out!
