bush kindergarten, glen eira

Kinder classes surrounded by nature? This Mamma highly recommends it!

The team at Bush Kindergarten's philosophy is; 'We believe that immersing children into the natural setting of bush kinder, with the right care and guidance, affords them the opportunity to develop at his or her own pace.'

This Mamma totally agrees! There is nothing better than watching the little ones explore nature and learn in an nonrestrictive environment, where they are not 'boxed-in'.

Little Mamma South had the pleasure of attending a session held in the beautiful Malvern Urban Forest (that Mamma never new existed!)
These outdoor classes are led by two wonderfully lovely ladies; Natalie - who is a fully qualified kinder teacher; and Christina - who worked as a zoologist for over 10 years and now focuses on educating children about nature and science.

Each week the kids learn about different topics, as they roam and explore their stunning surroundings.
They learn about change by observing the things around them in their different forms, draw pictures of their findings, use magnifying glasses, sing songs - and so much more.

Mamma highly recommends checking out one of these classes-  childhood and exploring nature go hand in hand!

Mamma's special mention
These classes regularly move to different locations, ensuring the kids are always learning different things in different environments. To find out where they are located, click here

Sing, dance and rattle the hour away at one of these fantastic, educational classes.

Mamma had as much fun as the little ones at this high energy, active class.
With so many favourite songs being sung, it's hard to pick a favourite - but, this mamma does have a soft spot for Miss Polly had a dolly - especially when the kidlets get dressed up in a doctor kit - it's hard to go past!

With a brilliant, energetic and engaging teacher like Jill, the kids are enthralled.
There are classes all over Melbourne so check them out here!

Mamma's special mention
To burn off even more energy, head down the road to Ballam Park to continue the fun!

kid studio art classes, mordialloc

Calling all mini Monet's!! If you want something a little more structured than messy play - this is for you!

Do you have a mini artist on your hands? Or a little one who is looking for something a little more structured than 'messy play'?

This is your answer!
These art classes are taught by a professional artist, who really goes into detail (with incredibly patience) teaching the kids about different techniques, yet keeping it basic enough to keep the little ones attention.

Kids will get the chance to experiment with different forms of creative expression, like painting with different utensils, using playdough to create 3D like pictures, making art out of nature, have some freetime as well as trying to following instructions.

The teachers are amazingly patient and ensure that the main thing is to have fun.
Parents can make use of the kitchen with tea and coffee on offer. It's a win for everyone!

Mamma's special mention
After the kids have created their masterpiece-  check out the awesome Oscar's Hangout for lunch - it's only up the road!
