A makers and food market with incredible views of Port Phillip Bay? Mamma says - yes please!
Mt Martha South Beach Market takes up residence at Mount Martha House Lawn on most public holidays. Across the road from Mount Martha South Beach and a short walk from the main strip of shops and restaurants, this location is unmatched.
On the main lawn area, marquee after marquee can be found filled with goodies for the whole family. From jibbitz and earrings to handmade ceramics and fresh native flowers - Mamma’s whole family walked away with something special to take home. With barista coffee for the grown-ups and face paint for the kiddos, all ages are catered for.
Foodies are looked after here with plenty of artisan goods on offer like chilli oil, gin and small batch seasonings. Head up the grassy hill towards Mount Martha House itself and you are met with food truck paradise - think grilled skewers, souvlaki and smash burgers. YUM!
There is an onsite carpark, however it does fill up quickly - Mamma’s tip is to head straight to the carpark behind Mount Martha’s main shopping strip and the street parking surrounding that area. The short (but inclined) walk to the market will work up your appetite so make sure to stop by the very popular bakery stall when you’re there.
