If there are little climbing enthusiasts in the family, they will love this playground! On one end, there is the giant rope climbing frame with a nest at the top for little adventurers to take in the view of the surrounding parkland. On the other end is a play structure complete with rock climbing wall, vertical rope tunnel and chute slide.
For the younger kids, there is a small water play area with a hand wheel pump, low toddler swing, tunneled mounds to explore and musical instruments to thump.
And once the kids are done on the equipment, why not pull out the scooters or bikes and follow the paths around the park - make sure to stop at the small skate park (the perfect size for kids!) and lake where you can look out for the resident turtles.

Words cannot describe the scale of this incredible park here. Mamma has never seen play equipment like this before!
Let’s start with THOSE slides! Dozens of spongy multi-coloured steps lead you up an astounding hillside, where two HUGE 20m long, twisty slides are waiting for you to slide on down! You’ll definitely get your step count up here! (Note - you do need to be 1.2m to go down the slide).
Spread over multiple levels you will also find:
A parkour zone
A water pump area
A vehicle themed toddler playground
A zip line
Adventure zone with equipment for older kids
Multiple Swing sets
An off leash dog area
An amazing look out spot
Wetlands Area
There is 10 spectacular hectares to enjoy and Mamma says that the equipment here is unlike anything you have seen before!
There’s a giant orange climbing dome full of rope nets, rocking chairs and hidey holes to explore.
Just next to the dome is a giant log swing and adventure equipment including what Mamma can only describe as a ‘human metronome’! You stand on the the pole and grab hold of the handles, and it tips you forward on to the next climbing structure.. be warned - you will need your bravery jacket on for this one!
This is definitely a destination playground and one you will NEED to spend hours at and come back to many times to explore everything properly!

North Road Foreshore Playground has it all - the beach, water play, a beautiful city view and coffee, just a stone's throw away.
This seaside playground has a giant pirate ship at its heart, complete with slide, climbing nets and balance beams. The little ones happily sailed the seven seas while Mamma got to nurse a coffee from the nearby cafe.
Surrounding the ship are several in-ground trampolines, a spinning cup and nest swing for those who want to get the adrenaline pumping.
By the shaded sandpit, lies a small water play area, activated by the adjacent log seesaw so be sure to bring bathers or a change of clothes!

The star attraction is the water play area, hugely popular for people of all ages. With a surface splash pad and playful water jets shooting up every couple of minutes, it's the perfect cool-down spot on summer days.
For those not interested in a splash, there is a separate dry playground area with flying foxes, trampolines, tunnels, a two-tiered sandpit complete with a water pump (I know, right?), and even an oversized hamster wheel! The giant bird's nest swing and a 5-way swing are just the cherries on top.
Older kiddos will be busy at the basketball and netball rings, and a jaw-dropping 10-metre-high double dome - with a slide to swoosh down.

Perhaps also being located beside a creek and boat mooring, where kids can see boats, water, sand and a fabulous playground, all in one vicinity!
A lot of the equipment is under shade, perfect for the sunny days. The ground is made of soft matting, ideal for the inevitable falls and for the crawlers - and kids of all ages will love the water play area - with water tables pooling into a little pebble creek - perfect for little feet to splash in. The play equipment will have you sliding, swinging, tumbling (in the hamster wheel) and there are even little electronic spelling games to get those brains exercising too!
With shaded BBQ areas and picnic tables, and loads of grassy area to picnic on, this will be a local favourite and is bound to get busy! It is also the location for wonderful family-friendly events held throughout the year - so keep an eye out for the next one!

You can’t help but fall in love with this little playground, mainly due to the majestic lion perched proudly on his throne. He is large and beautiful, and the kids will just love him.
There’s also some really fun play equipment, too.
New additions here are some shade cloth over the lion as well as some elephant rockers to keep him company; a water feature trickling into a sand play area; inground trampolines, new swings, bright orange soft matting; a new climbing structure leading onto the existing rock cave, slides and monkey bars!

There’s also another two areas with more water play - better suited for the little ones - with pump taps that trickle down into the sandpit.
Along with the water play, there are also swings - both basket and traditional, a carousel, sandpit and a cute little bamboo garden. Mamma’s crew loved the little ‘fairy garden’ as they called it, underneath the shade of a huge leafy tree, complete with giant toadstool and fairy house sculptures.

Mamma is convinced that the shape of the incredibly tall structure is meant to be a cat - but Mamma’s crew couldn’t see it.. can you?
There is a huge triangle rope climbing ladder, leading up to a little lookout -with windows (the cat’s eyes) and a long skywalk (the cat’s body), with a giant twisty slide (the cat’s tail) to disembark on! (Note that the rope climb is the only way up to the slide, so the little ones may be a tad disappointed). However, there is still plenty for them to do here!
There’s a huge, mostly undercover sandpit with water pumps to play in, swings, rocking ‘ants’, spinning wheel, Australian animal statues like wombats - owls and more to spot, little climbing structures with lookouts and a slide, in-built trampolines AND a little pump track - perfect for scooters. There’s also a path all through the playground to scoot along as well.

There’s a lot that’s great about this playground, but there are two specifically amazing stand outs; one is the awesome water play area in the shaded sandpit! With an octopus in the middle and lots of little lanes for the water pump to push water down and form little puddles - be sure to bring a change of clothes - or swimsuit as there is definitely heaps of fun to be had!
The other is so unique that this Mamma hasn’t come across it before! A rope swing carousel - or a dancing snake swing! There are four singular rope loops that the kids can sit - or lay on and then be spun around on! Very popular with the little ones!
As well as also having the usual; slides, swings, a lookout castle, a boat, and two sandpits. Lots of fun to be had here!

Be prepared to be blown away by this INCREDIBLE upgrade!
This fantastic new set up has kept with the theme of its predecessor - maintaining the castle and wooden elements. The original wooden turrets have been incorporated all throughout the playground.
But there is now SO much more in this all-inclusive playground. There truly is something for everyone. Let Mamma list all the goodness -

all ability equipment -including a wheelchair accessible trampoline
walking path and track for bikes/scooters

DJ spinning deck - with sound!

This amazing playground has it ALL! Fully fenced - toilets - water play and more!
If Mamma had to write a dream list of all the things that the crew wished for at a playground, it would amount to this fantastic spot!
Where to start. Well, firstly, the most important - practical - things to a family with young kids - toilets! Closely followed by being FULLY fenced in. There’s a Changing Places restroom, catering for the disabled. The playground also has all-abilities equipment. There are multiple undercover BBQs with picnic tables and a water tap, making it perfect to spend a few hours.
Then there’s the fun stuff! The playground is grouped into different ‘themed’ areas. As you walk in you will see the ‘aquatic’ zone first. Mamma’s little one loved this one the most. It is set to look ‘under the sea’ with a few clear circular seats set amongst red poles - perhaps imitating anemones? That’s what Mamma told the crew, anyway! There’s also a water pump offering a bit of water play.
There’s the ‘birds in flight’ zone, which offers multiple swings, a flying fox, huge tunnel and a twirly slide. Also a large xylophone you can make pretty sounds with. There are also two ‘calm down’ areas with kids can sit and read the ways to calm down. This is very cool and unique.
The ‘lettuce zone’ and ‘amphibian zone’ offer sandpits, multiple slides under shade cloth, spinning wheels, tunnels, inground trampolines, balance beams with lizard imprints and more!
So to summarise, there are toilets - water play - cool play equipment - undercover BBQ area - plenty of bench seats - it’s fully fenced AND there’s even a wireless phone charging station! AMAZING.
*Note - at time of visiting, there was construction on the slide area and water play switched off.

What a terrific space this is! At the back of Springvale Library and nestled between Springvale Town Hall is this wonderful NEW playground.
The first things you will notice are the landscaped gardens and awesome large trees that the playground is set around, providing both shade and such stunning scenery. But what the kids will notice first is the huge Ninja-style climbing obstacle course! They can test their strength and balance as they master the course.
And for the littler ones - perhaps it will be the sandpit they love most, especially as it is part of an awesome WATERPLAY set up! There is a water pump that leads to a wooden beam, cascading over rocks and sending the water off into the sand play area.
You’ll also find swings, slides (a super fast slide - so watch out for the little ones), an inground spinning wheel, music wheels (in the shape of 50 cent coins, where it sounds like coins are spinning inside) stepping stones, balance beams and more. There are community style picnic tables, a rotunda, BBQs, and open grassy area - perfect to set up a picnic.

Hold on to your dragonflies good people - there is a BRAND NEW PARK and it is BRILLIANT - with a capital B!
It’s been a long time coming, but it was worth the wait. Deep Creek Reserve in Pakenham is simply a fantastic, all ability play space.
The biggest feature - and of course you can’t miss this one - is the giant dragon fly. It’s so beautifully crafted, you will be mesmerised by the wings alone. The kids will have a ball running up and down the ramps, hiding in the eyes and playing underneath.
But of course, that isn’t all. Under the shelter (yes - you read that right) you’ll find water play. This is the ‘pack a spare pack of clothes’ kind of water play and great for playing and exploring - not full bathers … unless you are really desperate to cool down.
More great things to discover include the wheelchair slalom which could also double as a bike track (note: scooters struggle on the fine rocks), the huge birds nest swing, plenty of noisy and musical equipment, plus climbing frames and sensory gardens.
This fully enclosed and fenced playground is going to be a total hit and we can’t wait to come back.

This one was one of Mamma's favourites before it got an upgrade; now it is simply spectacular!
Mamma just LOVES this awesome park, as it has not one but TWO playgrounds and is simply stunning!
