cheltenham recreation reserve playground, cheltenham
The newly upgraded Cheltenham Recreation Reserve playground is a fantastic all-abilities playground featuring exciting climbing equipment, slides, swings and inclusive play spaces, making it a must-visit for families in Melbourne's south. If you're looking for one of the best playgrounds in Cheltenham, this freshly revamped spot is well worth adding to your list.
Hold on to your hats, because the much-loved Cheltenham Recreation Reserve playground has had a major glow up, and it was so worth the wait!
Mamma knows how many little ones were counting down the days during the construction closure, and this reopened space does not disappoint. It's bigger, it's more inclusive, and it's packed with so many ways to play.
There's plenty to keep every age group busy here. The vintage steamroller has been restored and is ready for little drivers to hop in and take the wheel, while the custom treehouse is perfect for exploring and letting their imagination run wild. There are swings and slides for every age, so no one misses out.
On a hot day, head straight for the misted water play area to cool off. There are also gorgeous nature play zones woven throughout, so kids will want to balance on the logs, climb the stumps and be inspired to explore the new pathways and play areas.
One of Mamma's favourite touches is the old Cheltenham train station building, which has been repurposed and now sits pride of place offering a lovely shaded spot to rest, refuel and watch the kids in action.
