st kilda pier, st kilda
/This is such an iconic spot in St Kilda. Mamma loves this whole area - the Pier makes a great central meeting spot to begin a day of fun! The gorgeous stroll along the pier can take anywhere from 10 mins to half an hour depending on the day and your mood! There are lots of things to see and people to chat too. The kiosk at the end is the ultimate goal though right!? It burnt burnt down in 2003 but it's now back to its former glory and a perfect place to grab an Ice cream!
There is a walk to spot penguins that starts starts just behind the cafe on the rocks - the gorgeous very small and very sweet little penguins come out late afternoon and early evening.
If you are a small furry creature fan there are even water rats hiding here for you to spot too, they are somewhat of a tourist attraction themselves and are fed by the locals.
Mamma's special mention: Luna Park, St Kilda Botanical Gardens, The solar system walking trail or even a visit to the Veg Out Community Gardens. The opportunity for adventure in St Kilda is endless. Oh and don't forget the St Kilda Esplanade Market here!
