Who knew that there was a forest smack bang in the middle of Chadstone?! Well now you DO KNOW!
It’s such a great little spot to take the fam for some imaginative nature play. Little Miss spent ages balancing on huge ‘serpents’ (logs), climbing trees, looking for fairy houses, getting muddy in rocks by the ‘pond’. Even imagining that tree stumps were pigs and horses. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that kids don’t need huge slides or adventure parks to have a good time - immerse them in nature and let them make their own fun!
This is just the perfect spot to do that very thing. There are paths suitable for prams, bikes, scooters - the return walk is about 2km. There’s plenty of spots to have a picnic, lots of birds to spot as well as ducks, and if you’re lucky - frogs, too!
Such a cute little whimsical place, hidden amongst the bustle of busy streets, that the whole family can enjoy.
