The Deck Kids perfectly combines the fun filled aspects of a children’s play space with the mouth watering qualities of Melbourne’s cafe culture - this Mammas idea of heaven. Designed, predominantly for little kids, 6 years and under, there are 4 defined areas of play in an enclosed and gated space, perfect for those wondering toddler feet that like to explore.
The first zone is an “outdoor” area, complete with bbq, ride on animals, and construction materials for those who want to partake in a little diy.
Next is the fully stocked “Deck Mart” and cafe space for the little foodies among us. Easily one of the most popular areas, this Mammas’s 2 year old could not get enough of the crank operated supermarket conveyor belt. While little miss 5 settled in to the neighbouring “home” section where she set to work tending to her brood of 4 doll babies and their seemingly *very* strict bath/milk/bedtime routine.
Lastly, the soft play zone closest to most of the cafe seating includes a small ball pit and foam decor which caters more to the younger children.
Now… when it comes to the food, The Deck Kids don’t hold back. With a diverse range of sweet and savoury options for the grown ups as well as a generous kids menu (including crowd favourites like bacon and eggs, pancakes and chicken nuggets), there is plenty to choose from to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Mamma actually appreciated the QR code system here as it made following two little ones around the play area while perusing the online menu, child's play.
Online bookings are essential and entry to the venue is $8 per person (adults and children over 12 months) which is redeemable on any menu items purchased during the allotted 1.5 hour session time.

Social Fair in Cranbourne is the newest indoor fun centre on the block - and you’re going to want to zip into this one ASAP!
With sky glider high ropes course, rock climbing walls, a giant playground, mini golf and a restaurant and bar too, there’s something for all ages.
The many different rock climbing walls really test your skills and strength but Mamma’s crew ranged from 9-15 and they all LOVED it! The wobbly rope ladder is a real workout!
Then there’s the sky glider high ropes course, which offers two levels of balancing, skating, rolling fun - high up over everyone; culminating in an epic zip liner zooming around the edge!
If the kids are too small (under 125cm) to take part in the climbing, never fear as there’s PLENTY of fun to be had in the GIANT playground! We’re talking a tube slide, giant ball pit, bouncing horses, multiple slippery slides, tunnels, obstacle courses and more!
Then once you have worked up an appetite you can head over to the eatery and order up some pizzas, burgers, parmas - there’s even ice cream as well. And if you’re thirsty you can opt for a delicious coffee or head to the bar! It’s the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with opening hours including dinner!
It’s loads of fun and a perfect for a family day out!

Attention southside mammas! Oakleigh has just delivered a brand new cafe/playspace that kids and adults will both absolutely adore!
Honeyccino Kids Cafe is a gorgeous new play cafe catering to small kids and their parents (who just need to sit down for a hot minute and enjoy a hot coffee!).
For the little ones, there are multiple play spaces - over two levels! - including an epic ball pit, slides, trampolines and even a ride on train that departs every 30 minutes! The adults are treated to ample cafe seating (with clear views of the play areas), delicious coffee and their famous family recipe sausage rolls.
There is padded flooring throughout the entire cafe so exploring for those littlies still finding their feet is less stressful for the eternally hovering mamma.
The even better news? Honeyccino have a dedicated party room ready to cater to all of those birthday celebrations.

The absolutely lovely husband and wife team have worked hard to update the old venue, bringing new equipment, furniture, flooring and ideas - as well as lots of cleaning!
Mamma has great memories of bringing the little ones to this playcentre - when it used to be The Silly Seahorse - loving the fact that it was smaller and quieter than most. Now there are brand new owners who have reimagined the place and turned it into something even greater - a play cafe with FANTASTIC imaginary play areas AND sensory sessions, whilst still maintaining the ‘quieter’ vibe.
The absolutely lovely husband and wife team have worked hard to update the old venue, bringing new equipment, furniture, flooring and ideas - as well as lots of cleaning!
So the little ones now get to experience the thrill of the larger play equipment with big slides, ballpits and air ball cannons - along side some awesome role playing areas with a mini shop, kitchen, construction site, dress ups and reading nook.
There’s also a baby play area, inflatable rock wall with slide and a sensory play section (running at allocated times only and an additional fee). These sensory/messy play sessions involve sand play, painting, mirror painting/washing and lots more.
Mamma’s crew (well, Mamma herself if being honest) also particularly love the one-player timed air hockey machine! (tokens required).
You can also grab some coffee and lunch here and make a day of it!

WARNING: This is not your average play centre. Be prepared to be lost in the jungle for a few hours, as you have a safari good time and this incredible indoor play centre.
Be warned, this is not your every-day play centre! Do not enter this place expecting to leave after an hour. You will be here much, much longer than that. Because this place is AMAZING!
With over 2000 square metres of fully equipped floor space, you will not find anything else like it in an indoor playcentre environment. Throw in the awesome zoo theme, and you have a fully unique experience!
Where to start?
Perhaps with the massive climbing volcano - once up the top, run around the 1 kilometre of trails, tunnels, trampolines and tubes all above ground. Take a tube ride back to the bottom, jump on a safari buggy and go for a cruise?
Or perhaps toddlers might want to go to their fully enclosed section, enter the 'catch a balloon chamber' play with the air balls and pit, go for a slide and then build a sculpture with the large lego?
The possibilities are endless! This place is truly awesome - this mamma highly recommends it!
Also worth noting is the consideration of the food menu. There are plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and varied menu options, and the coffee is amazing!

Jump into some fun and bounce off some excess energy!
This is the perfect all-weather energy burning paradise. The kids can go crazy for the duration of their one-hour session, and the parents can sit and enjoy a coffee and some space!
There’s something for all ages here, with four separate sections. The littlest ones can explore the playground, the gym mat and the dozens of bouncy trampolines. While the bigger, braver ones can jump of the multilevel platform and fall into a pit filled with huge foam blocks. Or if they are a bit shy to try the platform, they can jump off the edge instead. There’s also the basketball tramp area where they can give slam dunking a try.
It’s the perfect way to tire out the kids and they will love you for it!
Mamma's special mention: After you have worked up an appetite, head across and down the road for some yummy burgers at Fat Bobs!
