There are also tables and chairs in the fenced off area for parents to enjoy a coffee or when the kids need to pause for snack time.

bounce @ fountain gate, narre warren

A brand new Bounce has opened at Fountain Gate in Narre Warren and Mamma promises you, it’s an EPIC one! With brand new features including a hamster wheel, sky walk and sky spinner this new kid on the block is sure to impress.

This Bounce is especially well catered to young bouncers, with plenty of soft play spaces for little ones to explore. Mamma’s two love the ball and foam pits and the multi-level climbing frame complete with flying fox, slides and plenty of obstacles to climb.

Older kids are taken care of too with a rock climbing space, parkour area and two sky walks - one of which leads to two epic, steep slides which end on an air pillow.

With all of the classics covered including many, many trampolines, air mattresses and basketball rings at the end of trampoline mats, this centre will keep the kids entertained for hours on end. And with ample seating scattered throughout the centre, parents can grab a coffee at the on-site cafe and watch on as their kiddos practise their parkour and backflips.

Mamma’s little ones talk endlessly about the sky spinner - a user-operated, multi-level spinner, with the upper level for bigger kids, and the lower level for smaller ones. They also love the hamster wheel - especially when Mamma decides to jump in and humble herself!

With party rooms and new party packages to boot, this space is truly a one-stop entertaining shop! Mamma highly recommends that you bounce on over (see what I did there!?) to this fantastic new centre. It’ll be all your kiddos talk about for weeks on end.

The south has just scored itself a brand new play centre! Once the home of the now closed “Kid Factory”, Kool Space is delivering classic play centre fun with intergalactic vibes.

There’s a little something here for kids of all ages. There’s a dedicated “mini zone” just for preschoolers (1 to 5 year olds) and includes soft play equipment, light up staircase and obstacle course for the little ones to tackle!

The maxi zone for big kids is full of places to climb, jump and slide down with a massive observatory at the top so they can survey the land. Mamma’s favourite bit? The huge inflatable soccer dart board of course!

And for those who like to feel the breeze through their hair, the race track complete with ride-on cars  and police vehicles will satisfy any little rev head.

Their onsite cafe is also packed with food to help fuel kids through the 3 hour sessions. The kids menu includes classics like toasties, nuggets, cocktail frankfurts and mini pizzas. They also have an all day menu launching soon and will have dishes such as fried calamari, hotcakes and falafel bowls.

Mamma’s hot tip - being socks! Also there is aircon here but it still gets quite warm on days that are very hot.

Forget the fashion capital - Chadstone just scored its very own playcentre and has cemented itself as the Play Capital for families with little kids.

Imaginationation is a literal feast for the eyes. From the moment you spot the rainbow clad entryway to the entire space inside - this place does nothing but spark joy and is a serious hit of dopamine from the second you walk in.

Designed by leading child play space designers for kids aged between 6 months and 7 years, Imaginationation is curated to be enriching and engaging for little minds and spark curiosity through incidental play-based learning.

With slides, ball pits, soft play zones and sensory rooms galore, the entire space will have the kids entertained from start to finish. What Mamma loves most though, is how engaged the staff are with the kids - they’ll race, hide, slide and kick the ball around if the grow-ups need to take a breather.

Speaking of grown-ups, they’re well  looked after here too! There’s an onsite cafe filled with delicious food, cold drinks and hot coffee - what more could you ask for?

Mamma’s hot tip - when you drive in to Chadstone, head straight for carpark C or E but be sure to head to a level not designated to the “Market Pavillion” which only allows 2 hour parking.

royal pickle club, carrum downs

Here at Royal Pickle Club in Carrum Downs, you can hire a Pickleball court to challenge your family, burn off some energy and enjoy meal and fully licensed bar! Now with an adventure playground too!

Now here is some FUN!
If you’re anything like this Mamma, you may have heard of Pickleball before, but have no idea how to play. Well - let us introduce you to the ULTIMATE in family fun!

What is pickleball? It’s a mashup of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton, where you hit a wiffle ball (those perforated balls you use playing kids sport) with a large paddle on a court with a small net. And here at Royal Pickle Club in Carrum Downs, you can hire a court to challenge your family and burn off some energy!

The game is easy for all ages to pick up, Mamma’s crew consisted of a 10 and 12 year old - and they had smiles on their faces for the whole hour (which is very rare for these pre-teens!). It’s the perfect venue for the kids that are a bit too old for playcentres, to spend some family time where everyone is off their screens!

A new addition is an awesome multi level adventure playground for under 8 year olds! It’s a terrific option for the little ones who want to burn off some extra energy!

The playground has multiple sections including mini trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, climbing walls, tunnels and everyone’s favourite - a mini zip liner! The playground is operational the whole time the venue is open, and can be used without hiring a pickleball court. So you could even come here for a meal and let the kids play!

This awesome venue is the only one in Melbourne that also offers a fully licensed bar and a great food menu - making it the perfect place to have a mates match - or even a bit of a competitive date night!

You can play casually or you can get discounted rates by becoming a member if you plan on playing regularly - and let Mamma warn you - you will definitely be back - this sport is extremely addictive!

The venue will also be offering kids parties, so keep it in mind if you’re after a party with a difference!

Mamma’s crew cannot wait to get back on that court again!

This playcentre takes whimsy and magic to the next level. Pixieland really is like being transported to another world… and it’s one the kids will absolutely love!

The space is separated into a number of zones for different ages and interests. Those into imaginative play will love the garden and supermarket area where they can harvest fruit and veg or fill a shopping cart with groceries. This room also includes a wall dedicated to light up bricks which draws children like moths to a flame.

Aspiring princesses will want to head straight upstairs to the pamper room, complete with dressups, “makeup”, vanities and 360 views of the entire centre.

Mamma’s 2 year old could not get enough of the galactic cone slide and ball pit which also includes an interactive game wall, ball vacuum chute and spiral tunnel slide.

The projection room was another winner which is a completely blank space, perfect for the ever changing animations that dance across every surface. The only thing that got Miss 5 out of that sensory wonderland was the mini train and Ferris wheel that run on an alternating schedule every twenty minutes. There is a unicorn merry-go-round that also runs consistently throughout every session.

Don’t worry grown ups! Pixieland hasn’t forgotten about you - there is a generous seating area where you can enjoy a drink or meal from their cafe. Every adult ticket comes with a free coffee voucher as well so Pixieland really is a fairytale experience for one and all.

From pampering in the princess room to building in the construction pit, there's a space to match every interest and mood. A clear crowd favourite? The massive ball pit with slides, interactive game screen, and vacuum shoots.

Mamma’ has never meet a kid who didn’t love a pretend supermarket or kitchen - and Little Amigos nails it. With plush groceries, a beeping scanner, and light-up hot plates, Mamma’s 2 year old spent most of the time shopping and cooking up a storm.

Mamma’s pick? The maker space loft overlooking the entire centre. Race the kids to win a prize in the multi-level claw machine or build glowing towers with the LED blocks. You’ll also find busy boards and sensory activities for those across the walls to occupy little hands.

Parents can relax in the spacious dining area with a coffee or bite to eat while the kids ride the Little Amigos Express – running every 30 minutes (under 3s ride with an adult). And for the tiniest amigos? The baby room is packed with toys perfect for little hands.

One of the first things that you will notice as you walk into We Rock The Spectrum - a play gym for all abilities in Somerville - is a sign on the wall that says; ‘Finally, a place where you never have to say I’m sorry’. For carers of kids, especially those on the spectrum - this will resonate deeply.

And this really IS a place where everyone can feel comfortable, where there is no ‘wrong’ way to play and kids can be their loud and energetic best selves!

Newly opened, this Somerville franchise offers the most amazing selection of sensory and imaginative play options. Every item is handpicked specifically for their sensory element. From dozens of swings, trampolines with balls and a zip slider - to the incredibly cool full-scale supermarket complete with conveyor belt check-out, shopping trolleys, cash and a range of grocery items.

Upstairs is the teen zone that offers air hockey, a dart board, LEGO table, couch and little basketball hoop.

space jump @ springvale indoor sports

If, like this Mamma, you have a jumping castle enthusiast in the house, Space Jump at Springvale Indoor Sports is definitely one to pop on the list.

Open to the public on weekends, Space Jump offers a variety of inflatable structures for different age groups, from the traditional jumping castle to a mini inflatable basketball court and little miss 5’s favourite “Wipe Out” inspired ball obstacle course.

There are a number of inflatable structures for a range of different ages, mostly 4 years and up. However, there are also a few for the younger toddlers, as well as a cliff drop which is only for 8 years and older. With various tunnels to crawl through, surfaces to jump on, climbing walls to scale and slides to zip down - it’s a great little place for kids of all ages to bounce off some of that energy.

Mamma loves that the Space Jump facilities are set aside from the rest of the sports centre and are clearly defined by netting barriers, which means keeping track of little jumpers is much easier.

If the littlies get a bit peckish mid jump, there is a simple kiosk at the entrance that sells drinks (including coffee), chips, sweets and ice-cream.

the deck kids, brighton

The Deck Kids perfectly combines the fun filled aspects of a children’s play space with the mouth watering qualities of Melbourne’s cafe culture - this Mammas idea of heaven.

The Deck Kids perfectly combines the fun filled aspects of a children’s play space with the mouth watering qualities of Melbourne’s cafe culture - this Mammas idea of heaven. Designed, predominantly for little kids, 6 years and under, there are 4 defined areas of play in an enclosed and gated space, perfect for those wondering toddler feet that like to explore.

The first zone is an “outdoor” area, complete with bbq, ride on animals, and construction materials for those who want to partake in a little diy.

Next is the fully stocked “Deck Mart” and cafe  space for the little foodies among us. Easily one of the most popular areas, this Mammas’s 2 year old could not get enough of the crank operated supermarket conveyor belt. While little miss 5 settled in to the neighbouring “home” section where she set to work tending to her brood of 4 doll babies and their seemingly *very* strict bath/milk/bedtime routine.

Lastly, the soft play zone closest to most of the cafe seating includes a small ball pit and foam decor which caters more to the younger children.

Now… when it comes to the food, The Deck Kids don’t hold back. With a diverse range of sweet and savoury options for the grown ups as well as a generous kids menu (including crowd favourites like bacon and eggs, pancakes and chicken nuggets), there is plenty to choose from to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Mamma actually appreciated the QR  code system here as it made following two little ones around the play area while perusing the online menu, child's play.

Online bookings are essential and entry to the venue is $8 per person (adults and children over 12 months) which is redeemable on any menu items purchased during the allotted 1.5 hour session time.

There’s a small soft play area for bubs under 18 months which includes some interactive play panels, a see saw and climbing/building blocks.

Right next to the baby area is a larger gated soft play zone for under 4s who are prone to doing runners. This area was a big hit with mammas 4 year old and 20 month old, with the button operated merry go round, mini jumping castle and interactive floor piano being the highlights.

Mamma’s favourite Crocs attraction? Getting served a latte the size of a small child. Yes please and thank you.

The largest area by far, was for the bigger kids and adrenaline junkies in the family. Various slides, tunnels and foam ball shooters across multiple levels mean the adventurers among us have ample room and equipment to explore. And don’t forget the race track (with push bikes and trikes supplied) that runs across the right hand side of the centre - on your marks, get set, GO!

Be warned, this is not your every-day play centre! Do not enter this place expecting to leave after an hour. You will be here much, much longer than that. Because this place is AMAZING!

With over 2000 square metres of fully equipped floor space, you will not find anything else like it in an indoor playcentre environment. Throw in the awesome zoo theme, and you have a fully unique experience!

Where to start?
Perhaps with the massive climbing volcano - once up the top, run around the 1 kilometre of trails, tunnels, trampolines and tubes all above ground. Take a tube ride back to the bottom, jump on a safari buggy and go for a cruise?
Or perhaps toddlers might want to go to their fully enclosed section, enter the 'catch a balloon chamber' play with the air balls and pit, go for a slide and then build a sculpture with the large lego?

The possibilities are endless! This place is truly awesome - this mamma highly recommends it!
Also worth noting is the consideration of the food menu. There are plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and varied menu options, and the coffee is amazing!

You’re going to LOVE this BRAND NEW museum!! Bookings are ESSENTIAL as it is sure to be very popular!

Mamma says get excited about this one…. there’s a BRAND new children’s museum now in the SOUTH!

Following in the success of their Geelong centre, the doors of MoPA in Sandringham are open! It’s a spectacularly fun and creative space for families to experience, enjoy, create and learn together.

With immersive exhibits covering art, maths, engineering and technology, and spaces ranging from rainbow lit cubbies to custom built racing tracks - families will have an absolute blast in creating magic together.

Mamma’s little one was in absolute AWE. With the bright colours of the incredible murals, the 3D slide that lights up when you slide down, the dance-along-stage with dress ups - the movie/reading room, the stunning interactive colour wheel where you can find out what colours ‘sound and smell’ like, the incredible sculpture cubby - which is made up of world famous buildings - and SO much more!

This incredible facility is the brain child of one of the Museum Directors, Billie Georgieff, who has designed every single aspect of both of these AMAZING spaces, which are aimed at babies all the way up to early school years (6-7). There’s also multiple private party rooms and a fully licensed cafe.

You’re going to LOVE this!! Bookings are ESSENTIAL as it is sure to be very popular!

Are you ready for toddlers paradise? That is what this Funtopia delivers. A sanctuary for kids 6 and under to enjoy all to themselves, without the big kids taking over.

Unlike their other locations, this venue doesn’t have the rock climbing options, it is just pure playcentre fun! Aimed at kids 6 and under. Oh, and of course there’s an amazing Mr Spriggins cafe onsite, offering delicious food and coffee.

The multi level play structure offers ball pit fun - equipped with cannons and a ball drop. Loads of tunnels and slides even a bounce pit with yoga balls. Kids can cut some laps on the the track with electric cars.

There is a large enclosed play area for under 3s - this a multi level structure with slides, ball pit and soft play equipment.

Another fab section is a large brick building area where kids can build all types of contraptions.

There’s also a Messy Studio here, providing arty/messy hands on fun.

Toddlers paradise!
