casey fields playspace, cranbourne east
Located in the middle of the Casey Fields ovals, this playspace is the perfect spot for an outing with the kids.
The immediate draw of this playground is the vast amount of wide open spaces and play equipment that caters to kids of all ages.
There’s plenty of grass fields to run around and kick a ball, hills to run up and down (or roll as Mamma’s kids preferred) and a variety of play equipment that this Mamma struggled to pull her girls away from!
Our first stop was the giant blue slide that had everyone running up the hill over and over again! The abundance of climbing equipment kept Miss 4 entertained the whole time. There are climbing obstacle courses, a rope bridge and a climbing pyramid with an attached swing that she tried again and again until she had it mastered.
For the younger kids there’s a pirate ship with steering wheels, binoculars, swings and a fillable anchor. Majority of the playground is underlaid with sand, which Miss 2 was obsessed with. She did fill her hair and shoes with it, but she had so much fun!
There’s so much more fun to be had here, once you can tear the little ones away from the slide!
There is a two-storey high pirate ship, complete with binoculars, steering wheel, and a slide to disembark.
In a separate area there is another play structure packed full of fun. With sand scoops and shoots, slides and climbing equipment. All of the play space is covered in sand.
For the older kids there are pyramid rope climbing obstacles and large grassy areas to kick around a ball. If you’re able to pull the kids away from all the play equipment you can take a walk down the trail to the duck pond, which is always a favourite.
If you’ve packed some snacks or lunch there is a covered picnic area decked out with picnic tables, BBQs and public toilets to ensure everyone can relax and refuel ready for even more fun!
This park is loads of fun! Be prepared to stay for a few hours!
